McMahon, Patrick Eugene #2 (06 FEB 1869 - 04 JAN 1942)

Patrick Eugene McMahon, son of the Mr. and Mrs. John McMahon, was born in Warwick, Ontario, Canada on February 6, 1869. He came with his parents to Clark Count at the age of two years and lived on the McMahon farm at the Eaton Center corner until 1887 when they moved to Greenwood.

On January 12, 1901 he was married to Mary Margaret Johnson at Marshfield. To this union were born six children; Lucille of Chicago, John and Morel of Eau Claire, Arlene of Rushville, Ill., and Mrs. Margaret Curry of New York City. One child passed away in 1903.

Mr. and Mrs. McMahon have resided here all their lives with the exception of ten years spent at Eau Claire and Menomonie. They returned to Greenwood about three years ago.

Mr. McMahon passed away Sunday, January 4, 1942, after an illness of one year and he was confined to his bed since September.

He is survived by his wife and the above named children, two grandchildren, Michael John and Patrick Eugene McMahon of Eau Claire, two cousins in Greenwood, Ed Fahey and Mrs. Harry Hogue and many other relatives.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, January 6th at the home with Rev. A.J. Abbott officiating. He was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Geo. Haeuser and Mrs. Chal Perkins sang “In The Garden”, “Good Night and Good Morning” and “God Will Take Care of You,” accompanied by Mrs. John Meng at the piano.

The pallbearers were John Drummond, Adolph Schwarze, C.C. Hoehne, Art Iverson, Harry Hogue and John Arends.
