Randt, Geraldine Doris (Marriage - 23 October 1971)

Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, was the scene Saturday evening, October 23, of the marriage of Miss Geraldine Doris Randt and Kenneth Eugene Schmidt. The Rev. William Humlie performed the double-ring ceremony which united the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon A. Randt, Rt. 1 Loyal, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Schmit, Rt. 2, Loyal.

The bride chose an A-line, empire-waist gown of white embossed satin fashioned with a matching chapel-length train. A tiara-wreath of lilies of the valley and white baby’s breath encircled her head. She carried a cascade of yellow carnations, white orchids and bronze baby’s breath.

Mrs. Norman Schmidt, Loyal, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Kay Johnson, Marshfield, and Miss Kathleen Randt, Loyal. They wore empire-waist gowns of apricot embossed satin and carried bouquet of yellow, bronze, and rust mums.

Norman Schmidt, Loyal, served as bestman. Groomsmen were Everett Stone, Jr., Marshfield, and Verlyn Randt, Loyal. Warren Werner, Edgar, and Keith Johnson, Loyal, acted as ushers.

Scott Schmidt was the ringbearer. The flower girl was Lora Schmidt.

“O Perfect Love” and “The Wedding Prayer” were sung by Debbie Capelle. Accompanist was Mrs. Jean Voss.

A wedding reception was held at the Village Plaza in Spencer.

The bride, a 1969 graduate of Loyal High School, has been employed at a Marshfield bank. Her husband, who graduated from Loyal High School in 1965, is employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Clark County Highway Department.

The newlyweds will live on Rt. 1, Loyal, when they return from a wedding trip to North Carolina.
