The Greenwood High School student council held its first meeting Tuesday,
Sept. 3 to elect officers and get organized. Mary Ann Parkel, junior class
president, was elected president of the student council for the 1953 - 54 school
year. Mary Ann is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. frank Parkel Jr., Willard. Mike
Hoehne, who is also president of the senior class, was picked for the
vice-president position. Mike is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Hoehne,
Greenwood.
Ruth Steele, daughter of Mrs. Clarissa Steele, is the new
secretary. Jim Snedic, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Snedic, Greenwood, was elected
treasurer. Gary Brux, Greenwood, was picked to act as historian for this school
year.
The council elected Paul Thompson as their faculty advisor. Mr.
Thompson, who has been picked for this position for the past six years, will
work with Principal Clifton Fonstad in advising the council.
