Noetzel, Ambrosia (Tours Japan - 1953)

Miss Ambrosia Noetzel, who teaches at San Bernardino, Calif., daughter of Mrs. C.M. Noetzel of this city, is one of a group of twenty who are taking a tour of Hawaii, Manila, Hong Kong and four weeks in Japan, taking in the interesting sights in Tokyo, Kobe, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Mar, Yokohama and other places.

The group is traveling via American President Lines on the S.S. Cleveland to Japan, and will return on the S.S. President Wilson. They will return Sept. 1st to Los Angeles, just in time for school.

Miss Noetzel reports in a letter received by the Gleaner, that a professor from San Francisco State College is the leader and if the group attend the very interesting lectures on board ship they will get six college credits.

The group spent two days in Hawaii and had the pleasure of a swim at the Waikiki Beach. They also spent two days in Manila and two days in Hong Kong and four weeks in Japan.
