Petkovsek, Donna Lee (Marriage - 18 September 1971)

Miss Donna Lee Petkovsek, Grayslake, Ill., and Richard Allen Dickman, Veron Hills, Ill., were married Saturday September 18, at Holy Family Catholic Church at Willard. The Rev. Michael Mertens officiated at the 1 p.m. double-ring ceremony before an altar decorated with a large bouquet of red gladioli and fall-colored leaves.

Mr. and Mrs. William Petkovsek, Rt. 1 Willard, gave their daughter in marriage. The groom was presented by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dickman, Veron Hills, Ill.

The bride was attired in a floor-length, empire-styled gown of Sata peau styled with bishop sleeves and a high neckline. The A-line gown, decorated with daisy appliqués, swept into a chapel-length train. A bouffant veil of sheer bridal illusion was secured by a petal cluster enhance with tiny seed pearls. The new Mrs. Dickman carried a bouquet of white mums and yellow-centered white daisies.

Mrs. Roberta Lesar of Willard was the maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Miss Joanne Petkovsek, also of Willard. They wore floor-length, peasant-style gowns of chiffon in gold and ivory, fashioned with bishop sleeves. Satin ties accented lace mock-boleros. They carried bouquets of gold mums and white daisies with gold and ivory streamers.

Donald Dickman, Veron Hills, Ill., served as bestman. Groomsman was Bill Kroning of Veron Hills, Ill. Ushers were David and Raymond Petkovsek, both of Willard, brothers of the bride.

Nuptial music was provided by the Holy Family Junior Choir. Mrs. Helen Horn was the soloist and Ann Lamovec the organist.

A 3 p.m. dinner for 150 guests was followed in the evening by a dance at the West Side Hall.

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin the newlyweds will live at Grayslake, Ill. The new Mrs. Dickman is a 1970 graduate of Greenwood High School.
