Ellingson, Engwald S. (31 AUG 1890 - 29 SEP 1952)

The sudden death of Mr. R.S. Ellingson, 62, of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) came as a shock to this community. He died Monday morning about 8:00 a.m. at his home with a sudden heart attack. Funeral services will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood, at 11 a.m. and at the Naples Lutheran Church, Mondovi at 3 p.m. on Thursday. The Rev. M.S. Egge will officiated. Burial will be in the cemetery at Mondovi. The body will lie in state at the Schiller Funeral Home until 9 a.m. Thursday, when it will be placed in the church.

Engwald Samuel Ellingson was born near Mondovi, Wis. Aug. 31, 1890. He was married to the former Louise Indgjer of Strum, Wis. Oct. 23, 1921, at Strum. They came to Greenwood about 20 years ago. Mr. Ellingson was then employed as manager of the Farmers Store Co. at that time. In 1941 he became a salesman for the Standard Chemical Co. of Omaha, Neb. and was employed by them until his death.

He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and served as Secretary of that congregation. He was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Brotherhood and an eighth grade teacher in the Sunday School

Mr. Ellingson is survived by his wife, five sons, Erling, Champaign, Ill.; Everett, Mauston; Donald, James and Romaine, at home; three grandchildren; his father, Mr. Ed Ellingson, and a brother Jack, both of Mondovi. A daughter, Doris, preceded him in death.
