Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Vinger returned home Sunday evening, Aug. 21st from a two week trip through the west, covering 4,413 miles without a mishap or a bit of car trouble.

They went west on the northern route to Spokane, Wash. They visited friends, formerly from Taylor County, at Yakima, Wash. Palmer reports that land out there is selling for $2,200 per acre, and that they get four crops of alfalfa a year. In the Yakima Valley there are four large milk plants and the average paid for milk is $5.24 per hundred. They tell of how beautiful the valley is at this time of year.

They also took a trip to Mr. Rainier, which has an altitude of 14,655 feet.

On the return trip they took the southern route, stopping in Portland, Oregon and visiting friends in Oregon City. At Boise, Idaho they attended the state fair. They stopped on a farm where onions were being harvest at 100 bushels per acre.
