Russell E. Greiner, 63, Wausau, died Friday, July 26, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at the Hamburg Town Hall. Burial was in the St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Hamburg.

Russell E. Greiner, 63, Wausau, died Friday, July 26, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 16, 1950 in Wausau, son of the late Ralph and Lorraine (Hart) Greiner. On November 21, 1979, he married Jolene Hoff in Wausau. She survives.

Russell grew up on the family farm in the town of Rietbrock, and then moved to Little Chicago where he grew ginseng. Most recently, he was employed for many years as a service technician for Grebe's in Wausau. He loved listening to polka music and taking long rides in the country with Jolene.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Jolene Greiner, Wausau; one sister, Bonnie (Steven) Nenstiel, Edgar; one brother, John (Dana) Greiner, Wausau; one brother-in-law, Tim Hoff, Athens; and two nephews, Bradley Nenstiel, Mosinee and Jeffrey (Kelly) Nenstiel, Kronenwetter.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the Hamburg Town Hall, 8230 3rd Lane, Marathon, WI 54448. Burial will be in the St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Hamburg. Friends may call from Noon until time of services at the Hamburg Town Hall.
