C.M. Hunt spent Sunday with his family.

Pearl Weast went to Owen Monday, where she has several days serving to do.

Nellie Hogue came home Friday evening to spend Sunday with her folks.

Tom Leach has accepted a position in Chris Kippenhan's Meat Market at Loyal.

The Greenwood Orchestra has been engaged to play for a dance at Christie the 22nd.

E.T. Burch went to Chicago Tuesday to purchase his spring and summer stock of goods.

The M.W. A. tuberculosis sanatorium at Colorado Springs opened January 1st with sixty patients.

Mrs. Elmer Rossman went to Kilbourn Friday to spend a few days with her sister.

An exchanges says that the reason Dr. Till doesn't get married is that the ladies turn their backs on him.

Mrs. Oscar Fricke writes to Mr. Hendren from the hospital in Chicago that she is much better and will come home next week.

The ladies of the Thursday Club decided not to meet with Mrs. G.N. Loughead this week on account of the roads and weather.

O.G. Behrens went to Baraboo Wednesday of last week and returned Sunday with three horses, which he purchased while there.

E.G. Poppe of Longwood was a pleasant business caller at this office Thursday.

Merritt Chamberlin returned to his duties as depot agent at Julius S.D. on Thursday.

Wm. Prellwitz of Ripon spent several days of last week with his sister, Mrs. Ed Konow.

Mrs. O.A. Prellwitz and children spent Saturday and Sunday with Herman Prellwitz at Willard.

Tuesday, Louis Krom, a peddler from Withee, was arrived and fined $13 by A.F. Sheets, police justice, for selling goods without a city license.

Tehre will be a meeting in the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 under the auspices of the W.C.T.U. and L.T.L. Everybody is cordially invited.

Tuttle and Hubbell lost one of their driving horses last Wednesday. The animal got kicked by another horse, which chased a broken leg. Dr. Sillick was called to put an end to its misery.
