Miss Della LeGault of Longwood is spending a week with her friend, Gertrude Clute.

Mrs. F.W. Shrimpton returned Sunday from an extended visit with relatives in Nebraska.

Miss Rose Bowen returned from Superior Saturday, having completed her school duties.

Mrs. Alta Sharmann of Marshfield is visiting at the home of her cousin, Mrs. P.W. Gullord.

Frank Abel went to Milwaukee and Dodge County Friday for a visit with relatives and friends.

L.H. Howard and Grover Huntley of Neillsville autoed up Sunday and took in the ballgame.

Mrs. James Fradette arrived Tuesday from a several weeks visit with her parents at Shell Lake.

Hugh Meek and Forest Shanks came up from Fond du Lac Friday for an over Sunday visit. They will leave this week for a trip to Oregon and Washington.

The Fire Department came out Monday afternoon and endeavored to wet down the streets. Owing to some trouble at the pump house, the work was only half completed.

Carl Kellsvig returned Tuesday from a trip to North Dakota and Blanchardville, Wis. He reports the western country to be very dry and in need of rain as much as Clark County.

Wellen Hartson was an over Sunday visitor in Eau Claire.

Rev. Shrien and wife went to Black River Falls Saturday.

John Tynan has been renewing old acquaintances the past week.

Mrs. E.T. Hale returned to her home at Humbird Friday morning.

Miss Flora Behringer went to Waupaca Saturday for a short visit.

Forest Shanks went to Butternut Tuesday for a few day's recreation.

Len Howard of Neillsville, was a business caller in this city on Thursday.

F.W. Shrimpton and J.T. Drummond returned from Milwaukee on Friday.

Perry Volk has accepted a position in Hoehne's Hardware Store.

Miss Mabel Rossman went to Stevens Point Saturday to attend summer school.

F.J. Klinke and wife visited Sunday at the home of their daughter, Mrs. John Kubat in the town of York.

Arthur Mason of Aberdeen, S.D. was a guest as at the home of his uncle, John Bryden the first of this week.

Simon Schwarze went to Fairchild Saturday, where he will join his wife and children who are visiting there.

Morris Anderson came home from Fond du Lac Saturday. He reports business on the railroad as very dull.

Ernest Krokson went back to Minneapolis Monday to resume his duties as motorman on the street car system.

Miss Maude Varney and Joseph Thompson are home from Appleton, having passed a very successful school year.

Mrs. Freeman arrived from Whitehall Friday for a short stay at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L.M. Wellen.

Mrs. Kate Livesay returned to Fond du Lac Monday, having come up last week to help conduct her mother's auction.

Wm. Steinbach was a visitor here from Friday until Sunday. William is now employed at Maplehurst in the sawmill.

Dr. James Richmond, Martia Christenson, and R.M. Blackman returned Sunday from Milwaukee with the former's automobile. He purchased a Mitchel and is very much pleased with it. (Loyal Tribune)

We regret to state that word was received here by G.W. Bishop stating that Miss Eva Miller was in a hospital at Tacoma, Wash., where she underwent an operation and was at that time in a very critical condition.
