Mertes, Laura (14 Nov 1915)

On Sunday evening Blucher Paulus and Miss Laura Mertes were united in marriage by Justice Dudley. The marriage came as a surprise to the many friends of the young people, but they are all unanimous in wishing them a happy married life. The groom is a son of James Paulus and is a popular mail carrier on route four. He is a capable and energetic young man and well-liked by everybody. His bride is a pleasing young lady who has been employed as a saleslady in the Dangers store for some time. She is a young lady of winsome and pleasing personality and well fitted for the duties she assumes. The young people will make their home for the winter with the groom’s parents and will go to housekeeping in the spring.
