------ Giese, Sandra (6 FEB 1965)

White chrysanthemums and pink carnations bedecked the alter of Peace Lutheran church in the town of Frankfort for the wedding of Miss Sandra Giese, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Giese, Edgar, and Roger V. Stremer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Stremer, Athens.

The Stremer-Giese wedding ceremony, during which Mr. Giese gave his daughter in marriage, was solemnized Saturday, Feb. 6, at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. August Zaiser.  Mrs. Glenn Schilling was the organist and Delmar Telschow the vocalist.

The bride wore a gown of nylon sheer over white faille taffeta with a train.  The molded bodice was fashioned with a scoop neckline outlined with alencon lace appliques having a floral pattern.  A bias band encircled the midriff and the full skirt had unpressed pleats at the waist and alencon lace appliques in the front, the back falling into a full sweep train, which was chapel length.

The bouffant bridal veil of illusion was secured to a flower headpiece.  It had a cluster of orange blossoms in the center with pearlized leaves and sprays of buds along the edge.

Miss Karen Telschow, Sun Prairie was maid of honor and twins, Karen and Carol Erickson, Cary, Ill., the flower girls.

They were dressed in hot pink taffeta frocks.  Miss Telschow carried white carnations entwined with pink ribbons and the flower girls held baskets of pink and white chrysanthemums.

Ray Thuot, Athens, was best man, and ushering duties were carried out by Dave Stremer and William Giese.

The wedding reception was held in the Frankfort town hall and the dinner was served in the church parlors.  The newlyweds are residing at 715 Le Messurier St., Wausau.

The new Mrs. Stremer, a 1960 graduate of Abbotsford high school, has been employed by Kraft Foods, Milan.  Her husband, who was graduated the same year from Athens high school, is a student at the University of Wisconsin, Marathon extension, Wausau.
