Schoen, Emilie Ann (Marriage - 3 January 1970)

Miss Emilie Ann Schoen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schoen of Neillsville, Rt. 1 was united in marriage January 3, at 2 p.m. with Dennis W. Fleischmann, son of Mr and Mrs. Wilhelm Fleischmann of Rt. 3. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff performed the double-ring ceremony at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in the presence of 190 guests. A vase of roses formed the altar bouquet. Victor Lehmann provided organ music.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor-length A-line gown of nylon embroidered lace over satin, with long sleeves coming to a point at the wrists and a bow at the front of the waist. Pearls and sequins formed the scalloped neckline, with lace inserts on the front of the gown. Her long train snapped at the back and folded under at the waist for dancing. A pearl crown secured her veil of nylon lace. She carried a cluster of red roses.

Mrs. Robert Schoengarth, matron-of-honor, wore a street-length dress of blue lace over acetate, with an acetate bow at the front neckline. She carried a bouquet of blue carnations with white streamers.

Robert Schoengarth was bestman. Larry Benedict and Walter Schoen, Jr., served as ushers.

A reception was held at the St. John’s Lutheran School with 190 guests attending. The wedding cake was baked and decorated by Mrs. Franklin Schoen, aunt of the bride. Blue and white streamers and large, white bells decorated the bride’s and gift tables.

The bride is a 1969 graduate of Neillsville High School and is a first year student at St. Joseph’s School of Nursing at Marshfield. The groom, who completed high school at Neillsville in 1965, is employed at Nelson Muffler Corporation.

The couple is residing at 535 Hewett Street, Neillsville. A trip to the southern states is planned for later in the year.
