Kurth, Sylvia (16 July 1900 - 10 November 1969)

Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis (Sylvia) Kurth, 69, of Neillsville, who died November 10, were held last Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the united Church of Christ, with the Rev. George E. Yons officiating. Order of the Eastern Star services were held November 12 at 8 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: William H. Yenni, Dr. R. L. Barnes, Milo R. Mabie, Billie Davis, Russel VandeBerg and Earl Darling. A hymn, “The Evening Prayer,” was played on the organ by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

Those from out of town attending included: Mr. and Mrs. William Miller of Tucson, Ariz.; Mr. and Mrs. Jon Tibbett and Mr. and Mrs. M. Wax of Rockford, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. John Miller of Stevens Point; Mrs. Mary Milton, Mrs. Rita Ring and Mrs. Luella Green of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr and Mrs. Harry Middleton of Beaver Dam; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Marshall of Collinsville, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Cobb, Jr., of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Mrs. Kenneth Bertrand of Hyattsville, Md.; Dr. R. L. Barnes of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Holt of Black River Falls.
