Pfalzgraf, Margene E. (16 JAN 1965)

Now on a honeymoon trip to Scottsdale, Ariz., Mr. and Mrs. Douglas J. Bergstrom will be at home to friends Feb. 3 at 102 Second St., Colby.

The marriage of Miss Margene Ellen Pfalzgraf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Harold Pfalzgraf of Abbotsford, and Douglas J. Bergstrom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bergstrom of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), took place on Saturday, Jan. 16, 1965, at Christ Lutheran Church at Abbotsford.

The Rev. F.H. Sprengler performed the 4 o'clock ceremony, during which Robert Benson of Abbotsford was organist and Arlyn Mills of Chippewa Falls sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "O, Perfect Love."

The bride appeared in a floor length empire gown with a detachable Watteau train. Imported Chantilly lace was appliqued on the silk organza gown that was designed with an "A" silhouette skirt. A bouffant veil billowed from the princess crown of pearls. Three cymbidium orchids and stephanotis were entwined with ivy in a crescent arrangement for the bridal bouquet.

Amethyst velveteen was chosen for the floor length gowns worn by her attendants. A satin waist inset pointed up the satin train in back embellished with soutache embroidery. A matching Dior bow and bustle veil completed their ensembles. They carried crescent bouquets of French heather and white roses entwined with ivy.

In the bridal party as honor attendants were James Pfalzgraf of Abbotsford, brother of the bride, and Mrs. Alfred Otto of Chippewa Falls, a cousin of the bride. A sister-in-law, Mrs. Kenneth Pfalzgraf of Clovis, N.M., and a cousin, Miss Kathleen Pfalzgraf of Kenosha, served as bridesmaids, and John Pfalzgraf of Eau Claire and Randall Bergstrom of Owen, brothers of the bridal couple, were groomsmen.

Norbert Pabisch of Owen and Alfred Otto of Chippewa Falls seated the guests at the church.

After the ceremony, dinner was served in the church hall and a reception was held at Meadow View Country Club, Owen, at 8 p.m.

About 250 guests attended, and came from Fond du Lac, Milwaukee, Wausau, Eau Claire, Sheboygan, Ripon, Medford, Kenosha, Kiel, Chippewa Falls, Owen, Abbotsford, and vicinity, and Minneapolis and New Mexico.

The groom is employed at Owen as general manager at Bergstrom Oil Co., Inc. His bride is office manager at Med-Farms Dairy, Inc., Abbotsford.
