------ Ramker, Arla Mae (2 MAY 1964)

Zion Lutheran church at Colby was the setting Saturday, May 2, when Arla Mae Ramker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Ramker, route 2, Colby, and Eddie J. Voss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Voss, Abbotsford, exchanged marriage vows.

Pastor H. G. Woodworth officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony.  Mrs. Lawrence Priem sang “The Wedding Prayer” and also played the “Bridal Chorus” and the “The Wedding March”.

The bride wore a floor length gown of chantilly lace with a fitted bodice featuring a jewel trimmed scalloped sweetheart neckline, with a full hoop skirt of nylon net ruffles over taffeta and a lace overskirt coming to points in front at the hemline, the back being completed by tiers of lace.  Her finger tip veil of French illusion was secured to a queens crown of pearl and aurora borealis crystals.  She carried a cascade arrangement of 14 red roses, five white carnations and 15 stephanotis and roses in the streamers.  Her attire was complimented by a one-strand pearl necklace.

Attending the bride were Miss Bonnie Voss, sister of the groom, as maid of honor, Miss Shirley Bowen, a friend of the bride, and Miss Karen Ramker, sister of the bride, as bridesmaids.  They wore Nile green street length dresses of chiffon over taffeta featuring a molded bodice, scoop necklines and fashioned with “A” line skirts.  The full overskirts were completed by a self fabric rose at the waistline.  Their headpieces were matching flower circlets with pearl trim and face veils.  Their flowers were green and white carnations.  A necklace complimented their attire.  Miss Barbara Ramker was the miniature bride and wore a dress styled as the bride’s.

Lannie Voss served his brother as best man and Merlin Ramker Jr., a brother of the bride, and Louis Ecke, cousin of the groom, were groomsmen.  Scotty Voss was the ring bearer.

The ceremony was followed by a reception and 4 o’clock supper at the Colby Hotel.  A wedding dance was held in the evening at the Sportsmen’s Park pavilion.

The new Mrs. Voss is employed in the office at Northern Auto Supply Co., Marshfield, and the groom is engaged in the trucking business with his father.  The couple will make their home in Abbotsford.  A trip is being planned for this fall.

Guests at the wedding came from Montana, Illinois, Kaukauna, Wausau, Sheboygan, Edgar, Marshfield, Spencer, Unity, Abbotsford and Colby.
