Budzinski, Mary Ann (22 AUG 1964)

The marriage of Miss Mary Ann Budzinski and Joe Truckey was solemnized Saturday, August 22, in the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp. The Rev. Francis Brockman performed the ten a.m. ceremony and High Mass.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Budzinski and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Truckey, all of Thorp.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore an exquisite floor length gown of Chantilly lace. A scalloped Sabrina neckline enhanced with sequins and long traditional tapered sleeves accented the fitted bodice. The bouffant storybook skirt was styled with tiers of lace sprinkled with sparkling sequins pointing up the chapel train. White satin pedals held her silk illusion veiling. She carried a yellow heart of roses surrounded by white carnations and garlands of steffonotis bouquet.

Miss Betty Budzinski was her sister’s maid of honor, wearing a street length dress of yellow chiffon over taffeta with yellow lace jacket and carried yellow and white daisies in a wicker basket. Miss Patricia Lato, girlfriend of the bride, was bridesmaid and Cheryl Haas, cousin of the bride, was junior bridesmaid, wearing dressed identical to the maid in honor only in a paler yellow. They carried a wicker bascket with assorted colored daisies. They all wore veils attached to a yellow chiffon rose.

Miss Janet Danielewicz, cousin of the bride, was junior bridesmaid, wearing an exquisite floor length gown of nylon organdy. Her veil was the same as the bride’s, as were her flowers.

The bride wore a rhinestone cross and junior bride and bridesmaids wore gold crosses given by the bride. The bride also wore a watch given to her by the groom. The best men wore cuff links given by the groom.

Roger Truckey was his brother’s best man, and groomsmen were Bernard Budzinski, brother of the bride, and Arnold Truckey, brother of the groom. Ushers were Eugene and John Budzinski, brothers of the bride.

A dinner for 100 guests was held and a reception at 5 p.m. for 300 guests was held at the Thorp American Legion Hall, where an evening dance was also held; music was by Jerry’s Jolly Jesters.

The bride, a graduate of Thorp High School, is a part-time employee at the Thorp Courier. The groom is a graduate of Thorp High school and Dunwoody Industrial Institute, and is employed as a printer for the Thorp Courier.

The bride left for her wedding trip wearing a yellow sheath dress with a white gardenia corsage. After their wedding trip to Minnesota, the Dakotas and Wyoming, the new Mr. and Mrs. Truckey are making their home at 509 School St.
