Howard, Colleen K. (5 DEC 1964)

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Marden are now making their home at Unity.

The wedding of Miss Colleen Kay Howard of Unity, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Howard of Unity, and Gerald Robert Marden of Neillsville, son of Mrs. Robert Lulloff of Neillsville, took place Saturday, Dec. 5, 1964. The Rev. Norman W. Lindoff heard their exchange of marriage promises in a 2 o'clock ceremony at St. John's Lutheran Church at Neillsville. Victor Lehmann was the organist and accompanist for Kendall Smith, who sang "The Wedding Prayer" and ""O Perfect Love.".

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of nylon organza trimmed with hand clipped Chantilly lace, featuring a scalloped portrait neckline on the fitted bodice and long lace sleeves. A crown of nylon tulle, orange blossoms and pearls held her bouffant veil of English bridal illusion. Red roses, white carnations and lily of the valley were combined in the bridal bouquet.

The honor attendants were Miss Rosaline Heber of Unity and Ronald Marden of Neillsville. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Raatz of Marshfield and Miss Louis Howard of Milwaukee and Gerald Howard of Neillsville completed the wedding party. Larry Daniels of Neillsville and James Boyer of St. Paul, Minn., performed the ushering duties.

The bride's attendants were all attired in street length gowns of cotillion blue satin with matching shoes and headpieces. They carried bouquets of white and blue gardenias.

Festivities of the wedding day included a wedding supper served at St. John's Lutheran School and a wedding dance held at the Silver Dome Ballroom, Neillsville.

The bride, a graduate of the Colby High School with the class of 1963, is employed at the Marshfield Clinic. Her husband, who was graduated from the Neillsville High School in 1961, is employed at Weyerhaeuser Distribution Center, Marshfield.
