Anderson, Sarah Louise (Marriage - 5 July 1969)

United in marriage at the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton at 2:30 p.m., Saturday were Miss Sarah Louise Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David E. Anderson of Rt. 1 Granton, and Victor Robert Elmhorst, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Elmhorst, also of Rt. 1 Granton. The Rev. Roland Roehrs officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor-length gown of ruffled lace, combed with white velvet ribbon, and featuring a collar, sash and bow headpiece of organdy, with a fingertip illusion veil and chapel train. She carried a nosegay of pink roses, white spider chrysanthemums and babies’ breath.

Serving as maid-of-honor was Miss Adel Anderson. Bridesmaids were Miss Elaine Anderson and Miss Donna Anderson. The attendants wore floor-length empire-styled gowns, with orchid skirts and white ruffled lace bodices, and orchid bow headpieces. Each carried a basket of orchid and white spider chrysanthemums.

The groom’s attendants were Darrel Marty as bestman, and Tom Elmhorst and Rocky Elmhorst as groomsmen. Ushers were Charles Anderson and Jack Vandeberg.

Mrs. Jas. A. Musil of Neillsville presided at the organ and Miss Mary Anderson of Madison was soloist.

A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

After a wedding trip along the Mississippi River to Columbus, Miss., they will reside on Rt. 2 Granton.

The bride is a 1965 Granton High School graduate and is attending Wisconsin State University-Stevens Point, from which she will graduate in January with a degree in primary and kindergarten education. Mr. Elmhorst graduated from Granton High School in 1960 and is employed in the logging and pulp industry.
