Fristad, Sandra L. (20 JUN 1964)

Miss Sandra Lee Fristad, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fristad of Stevens Point, formerly of rural Colby, became the bride of John Philip Engel, son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Engel of Green Bay, Saturday, June 20, 1965.

The ceremony took place at one o'clock at Frame Memorial Presbyterian Church, Stevens Point, with the rev. Richard Hill officiating.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor length bell shaped silk linen gown. A detachable pleated chapel length train which extended from the shoulders of the fitted bodice, was accented by a bow.

A silk linen pill box topped the shoulder length veil. She carried a bouquet of white roses centered with a white glamellia.

Attending the couple were Miss Barbara Schueffe and Donald Hanson of Green Bay as honor attendants, Mr. and Mrs. Endre Ivans of East Chicago, and Miss Carolyn Engel and John Halloin of Green Bay. T. Melvin Fristad of Milwaukee and Walter Kuntze of Houghton, Mich. were the ushers.

The bride's attendants were attired alike in powder blue silk shantung designed with fitted bodices, oval necklines and bell-shaped skirts.

Following the ceremony a reception and dinner for 130 guests took place at the Antlers overlooking Lake DuBay.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Engel are lving in Caledonia, a suburb of Milwaukee, where Mr. Engel is employed as an insurance adjustor by the General Adjustment Bureau. Mrs. Engel has accepted a teaching position at Greendale.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Engel are graduates of Wis. State College at Stevens Point. Prior to her marriage the bride taught at Green Bay.
