Firnstahl, Mr./Mrs. Herbert (41st - 12 JUN 1965)

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Firnstahl were married 41 years Friday, June 12, 1965, but the surprise party to honor the couple was arranged for Sunday afternoon. The couple had gone to see some good friends earlier in the day, and when the lady feigned illness, Mr. and Mrs. Firnstahl returned home to find all their children and families waiting to greet them. The grandchildren presented the honored couple with a bouquet of red roses, and the children gave them a set of lawn chairs. The wedding anniversary cake was also presented by the children.

A picnic dinner was held in the yard of the Firnstahl home. Games were played in the afternoon.

Those who attended the festive occasion included Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hedler and family, Mr. and Mrs. Manny Firnstahl and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Firnstahl and family, Mr. and Mrs. Burdell Bruesewitz, and Danny Firnstahl, all of Colby, Miss Karen Pagel, Stetsonville, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Hoppe and son, David, Neillsville, Emile Schade, Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reeves, Abbotsford, and Mrs. Arma Schultz, Colby.
