Bauer-Gennett

Now living on a farm near Stratford are Mr. and Mrs. George Joseph Bauer, Jr., who were married May 14 at Christ the King Catholic Church, by the Rev. Bernard Henry. The bride is the former Miss Esther Rachel Gennett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Gennett, Marshfield route 3, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bauer, Sr., Stratford route 2. The couple took a wedding trip to the northern part of the state.

The bridal gown was of white satin which extended into a long train. A pearlized headdress held the fingertip veil of illusion and she carried a bouquet of Easter lilies.

Miss Marjorie Gennett was her sister’s maid of honor in a gown of aqua. Miss Bettte Gennett, another sister of the bride and Miss Joanne Eckes, cousin of the groom, were bridesmaids in dresses of yellow and orchid, respectively. Bouquets of red roses and white carnations were carried by all of the bride’s attendants. They wore matching caps which matched their gowns. Ronda Lee Moslavac, Milwaukee, cousin of the bride, was flower girl in a white dress.

Donald Weis, was best man. Completing the wedding party were Robert Endreas, Milwaukee, uncle of the bride, Edward Jozwiak, Stratford and Roger Gennett, Marshfield, brother of the bride, as ring bearer.

Dinner was served to 50 guests, and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents for 200 guests.

Mrs. Bauer is a graduate of the Spencer High School and Mr. Bauer of the Stratford High School.
