Schmidtke, Anna (3 May 1901 - 27 April 1969)

Mrs. Paul (Anna) Schmidtke, 68, of Rt. 2, Loyal, died Sunday morning at Riverview Manor, Wisconsin Rapids. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Christ Lutheran Church in Chili. The Rev. Roland Roehrs officiated. Burial was made in Windfall Cemetery, Granton.

The former Anna Krueger was born May 3, 1901, in Illinois and was married November 17, 1921, to Paul Schmidtke in Lakewood, N. D. The couple then moved to the Town of Fremont and operated a farm until 10 years ago. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Chili.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Alton of Milwaukee; Larry of Illinois; Donald of Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Wehe, and Mrs. Carmin Elpert, both of Loyal; 27 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Victor Strey, Raymond Strey, Henry Knoll, Donald Bersell, Ervin Haslow and Ed Grobe. The Gilbertson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
