Brown, Lula Jane (16 March 1886 - 14 April 1969)

Mrs. Lula Jane Brown, 83, mother of Mrs. Henry Keller of Greenwood, died April 14, at Somerset Hospital in Kentucky. She had been living with her daughter, Mrs. Earl Turner, the last five and one-half years because of ill health. Mrs. Brown, the former Lula Jane Burkett, was born March 16, 1886, in Tulaski County, Ky. She was married November 2, 1902, to Jacob Steward Brown.

She is survived by seven daughters and a son: Mrs. Henry (Lora) Keller of Greenwood, Mrs. John (Essie) Abbott and William Brown, of Somerset, Ky., Mrs. Harold (Rowena) Schultz of Arcadia, Mrs. Earl (Stella) Turner of Monticello, Ky., Mrs. Joseph (Martha) Lawlers of Mendama, Calif., Mrs. Rolland (Lela) Alley of Morrow, O., and Mrs. Robert (Doratha) Brown of Nashville, Ind.; 40 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Julia Bland of Nancy, Ky.

Her daughter, Mrs. Henry Keller, attended the funeral.
