TANDLOKKEN REUNION

The 30th annual reunion of descendants of the Tandlokken family, who emigrated from Norway in the 1870’s, was held on Sunday, July 12, at Northwood County Park southeast of Marshfield. At the business meeting, Ralph Peterson, Norman Olson, Osseo, was appointed president for the ensuing year. About 100 persons were present. Attending from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Art Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Hawks and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nelson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hawks and family, Mr. and Mrs. David Hawks and family of Abbotsford, Alfred Thompson and daughter Karen, Mrs. E. M. Peterson, John Lokken, Mrs. F. Matthias, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Thompson and family of Greenwood, Misses Alma and Esther Thompson of Milwaukee who are visiting here. Other guests were from Eau Claire, Strum, Osseo, Minneapolis, Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield, Bruce, Ladysmith and Madison.

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Scheel and family of Erie, Pennsylvania, are visiting the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hingiss in Green Grove.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dagnitz returned home on Friday from several days outing at Copper Falls.

Sam Lien of Tucson, Ariz., flew here on Saturday and is a guest at the home of her brother, Dr. and Mrs. A. P. Lien.

Mrs. Elizabeth Buss spent several days the past week at Rice Lake, with her daughter, Mrs. John Burtard, at their cottage.

Paul Kramas and son,, Paul Jr., who are employed in Milwaukee were accompanied by Mrs. Krama’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kostrezerva, to spend the weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Art Petersen and sons of Madison were overnight guests of their mother, Mrs. E. M. Petersen on Sunday.

Mrs. A. J. Hennlich was hostess to the Past Matrons Club of the Abbotsford O.E.S. chapter no. 185 on Thursday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Emery Peissig and Mr. and Mrs. Armin Peterson and Jo Ann enjoyed an outing at the Burnett State Park over the weekend.

Mrs. Josie Reigert and Mrs. Josie Peterson of Stetsonville visited on Sunday afternoon with Mrs. William Fahrenbach when she taught in the Taylor county grade schools, 60 years ago. Also her guests on Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Miller of Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hall of New London.
Mr. and Mrs. Cornel Erickson took their grandsons, Kerry and Kevin Schumacher, to their home in Eau Claire on Friday. They had spent the past week here.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reishus left on Monday for Minot, North Dakota, to visit their brother and sister-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. Lisander Reishus.

Mr. and Mrs. Cornel Erickson, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson helped Art Wolfram of Owen celebrate his 75th birthday on Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Art Peissig of Chippewa Falls visited with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Franz Peissig on Sunday afternoon.

Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Geary were her brother and sister-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. Melvin Dake, and daughter of Stevens Point and Mrs. Hattie Johnson of Waukegan, Ill.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Geary of Markesan on Monday, July 13. Mrs. C. W. Geary left on Monday afternoon for Markesan to be with the family for a few days.

Guests at the home of Mrs. Anna Tonn during the past week were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Myer of Marshfield and Mrs. Emma Shultz of Chicago, Mrs. Kathryn Sauer of Medford, Mrs. Elizabeth Mertens and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Warner and son of Dorchester.

Miss Sandra Konik, who is attending summer school at the State University at Eau Claire spent the weekend at her home here.

Mrs. Albert Schultz took her son, Elroy to River Falls on Saturday where he enrolled at State University for the coming year. Elroy is a student at Dor-Abby High School.
