MRS. FRANK LUOMA RITES WERE CONDUCTED MON.

Monday afternoon Rev. Lauri Issacson, Pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church, Owen, officiated at the funeral service held for Mrs. Frank Luoma, a resident of this community for the past 40 years.  She passed away March 20 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

Interment was made at Riverside cemetery.  Pallbearers included William Kangas, Kauno Niemi, Hjlmer Heikkinen, Voitto Mutka, Ben Hill and Clifford Hakola.  Mesdames Kauno Niemi and Hjalmer Heikkinen were in charge of the floral offerings. 

Mrs. Luoma, nee Lydia Amanda Lehtonen, was born December 21, 1888, in Keuruu, Finland.  She came to this country as a young lady first settling in Illinois.  Here on August 15, 1912, she was united in marriage to Frank Luoma in a ceremony performed in DeKalb, Illinois.  The couple moved from DeKalb to the Town of Longwood where they settled on a farm in 1924 where they made their home until retiring in 1944 at which time they moved to their present home in Withee. 

Mourning her illness and departure are her husband; one sister, Mrs. Emil Arvilla, Lake Worth, Florida; two sisters and a brother in Finland; one son, Karl Luoma of DeKalb, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Karl (Lennae) Hill, Withee, Mrs. J. (ella) Dimaggio, DeKalb, Ill., Mrs. Thorvald (Lorraine) Stigsen, Edgerton, Wis.; nine grandchildren, and two great  grandchildren.
