WITEK-MILLER NUPTIALS PERFORMED AT HOLY ROSARY CHURCH FEBRUARY 8TH

Miss Alice M. Witek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Witek of Withee, became the bride of Dennis J. Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Miller of Withee, on Saturday, February 8th at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen at 10:00 a.m.  The wedding ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. L. Crubel.

The bride’s gown was of fine, faille taffeta with a train.  The molded, lace bodice carved to a V at the waistline and was styled with a scalloped Sabrina neckline with seed pearl and iridescent sequin embroidery.  The long lace sleeves tapered to points over the wrists where they were secured with covered buttons.  The skirt was shirred at the waistline.  It had a pickup in front accented with a lace rose.  The pickup revealed alternating lace and tulle tiers.  The skirt back had lace tiers with tulle edging which went into the full sweep train.

The bridal veil of imported English silk illusion in fingertip length was secured to a pearl band crown with large pearl loops, large pearl droplets trimmed the inner loops.

The bridal bouquet was cascade with red roses and white pompons handclipped, rosepoint lace over white with roses on streamers.

Attending the bride as her matron of honor was Mrs. Eleanor Danczak of Withee.  The bridesmaids were Miss Sandra Wittek, of Lublin and Miss Diane Miller of Withee.  They wore identical sapphire blue street length dresses of beau de soie which featured three quarter length sleeves and a straight skirt with two bows at the waistline and a straight panel in front and overskirt that hooked at the waist.  Their crown and circular veils matched the color of their dresses.  They carried bouquets of white carnations and blue pompons.

The ushers were Mr. Tom Swienton, Chicago, and Mr. Jerry Roberts, Owen.

A wedding breakfast and reception was held at the Meadowview Country Club, Owen.

Guests attending from out of town came from Sheldon, Rhinelander, Chicago, Stanley, Wausau, Stratford, Thorp, Lublin, Colby and Eau Claire.

The bride is a graduate of the Owen-Withee Senior High and is employed as inspector and driller for the Testing Service Corporation in Lombard, Ill.

The newlyweds will make their home at 31 May Street, Apt. C., Addison, Ill.
