Anna Steinke (28 Jul 1902 – 18 Mar 1955)

Private funeral services for Miss Anna Viola Steinke, 52, a native of this community(Dorchester, Claerk Co., WI), were held from a Colby funeral home Sunday afternoon. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler, pastor of St. Peter’s Lutheran church here, officiated at the rites at 2:30, following which burial was made in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Conrad Kramer, Ed Sitzberger, Claude Castner, James Foster, John Dallenbach, and Alfred Kramer.

Miss Steinke died Friday, March 18, at the Northern Colony training school, Chippewa Falls. She was born here July 28, 1902, and had been a resident at the Chippewa Falls school for many years.

Surviving are three brothers, William Steinke, Curtiss; Arthur Steinke, Colby, and Herman Steinke, Medford; three sisters, Mrs. Ted (Olga) Hoeft, Abbotsford; Mrs. Conrad (Emma) Kramer, Abbotsford, and Mrs. Fred (Martha) Dallenbach, Abbotsford. Her parents and a sister preceded her in death.

Attending the funeral rites were friends and relatives from Chippewa Falls, Abbotsford, Curtiss, Marshfield, Colby, Medford, and Dorchester.
