Fitzmaurice, Vicki Sue (Marriage - 7 December 1968)

Vicki Sue Fitzmaurice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Fitzmaurice of Humbird, and Robert L. Dobson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Dobson of Rt. Humbird, exchanged nuptial vows Saturday, Dec. 7, in St. Joseph’s Church in Fairview. The Rev. Molinaro performed the 11 a.m. double ring ceremony, in which the bride was given in marriage by her father.

Chantilly lace over taffeta in a cage silhouette, fashioned with long sleeves and a round neckline, styled Miss Fitzmaurice’s wedding gown. Iridescent accented the bodice and edged the Watteau train, which flowed to a delicate sweep. A cluster of peau petals, highlighted with pearls, secured her bouffant veil of bridal illusion. She carried a flowing arrangement of orchid chrysanthemums.

Aides were Corinne slaughter of Merrillan, maid-of-honor; and Mary Fitzmaurice of Humbird and Shirley Heath of Alma Center, bridesmaids. They chose floor-length gowns with lavender crepe skirts and purple velvet bodices. Venice lace enhanced their demi-raised waists and short sleeves. Velvet rosettes, with leaves, secured their bouffant veils. Each carried a white carnation bouquet.

Bestman was Philip Fitzmaurice, brother of the bride. Groomsmen were Billy Stenulson of Black River Falls and Chris Slaughter of Merrillan. Ushers were Gary Fitzmaurice and Michael Dobson.

The bride, a 1968 graduate of Lincoln High School, has been employed at Memorial home in Neillsville. Mr. Dobson, also a 1968 graduate of Lincoln High School, is employed in Eau Claire, where the couple will make their home at 326½ Babcock Street.
