Clara Augusta (Bolz) Werner (8 Apr 1899 - 14 Nov 1973)

Funeral Held Saturday for Mrs. Fred C. Werner

Mrs. Fred C. Werner, 74-year-old Medford resident, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14. She was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial hospital, Medford, after being taken there from her home. She had been in ill health for the past week.

Funeral services were held here Saturday (17 Nov 1973) afternoon at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran church. Rev. Marvin Zank officiated and burial took place in Evergreen cemetery. The body lay in state at the Herner funeral home, Medford.

The former Clara Augusta Bolz was born April 8, 1899, at Medford. She received her education in the Medford public schools and later attended a nurse's training school at Milwaukee. She had been employed at a Milwaukee hospital and later returned to Medford where she remained until the time of her death.

Her marriage to William H. Rudolph, who preceded her in death March 6, 1935, took place October 28, 1926. She was married March 14, 1941, at Waukon, Allamakee County, Ia., to Fred C. Werner, who survives.

Mrs. Werner was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran church and its ladies' society. Surviving along with her husband are four sons, William, Melvin, Roy Rudolph, all of Medford, and Robert Werner, Marshfield, and 11 grandchildren. Other survivors include six brothers, Fred, Milwaukee, Louis, Walter, Alfred, Herman and Richard, all of Medford, and one sister, Mrs. Ida Brusten, Medford.

Two brothers also preceded her in death.
