Weisbrod, Arnold M. (10 Dec. 1919 – 7 Feb. 2009)
Arnold (Arnie) M. Weisbrod, 89, passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009.
He was born in the town of Hull on Dec. 10, 1919, the son of the late Joseph and Rosalia (nee: Suplicki) Weisbrod. On Sept. 25, 1943, in Racine, he married Wanda S. Czosnek. She passed away May 30, 1996.
He was a member of St. Lucy's Catholic Church, the City of Racine 20-Year Club and Local 67. He worked at Mound and Graceland cemeteries for 34 years, before retiring in 1982.
Surviving are his daughters, Marilyn Allen of Seattle, Wash., Shirley (Dale) Gayhart and Arlene (Gary) Minton all of Racine; grandchildren Gretchen Gayhart, Michael Allen, Gwen (Scott) Nelson, Russ Minton, Nick Allen and Heather Allen; great-grandchildren, Emma and Everett Nelson, brother Clarence (Ramona) Weisbrod of Stevens Point and sister-in-law, Theresa Weisbrod of Oak Lawn, Ill. Many dear nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive him.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Sam Allen Jr.; brothers, Leo (Sohpie), Chet, Ed (Mary), Emeryk (Helen), and Joe (Mildred); sister, Monica (Tony) Formella and Alicia Weisbrod.
His funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Racine on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009. Interment followed in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials to St. Lucy's Church (3101 Drexel Ave. Racine WI 53403) in his name would be appreciated.
