Hoernke, William (18 Nov. 1890 – 19 July 1958)
William Hoernke, a lifelong resident of the town of Frankfort, died Saturday morning at the Marshfield hospital, where he had been a patient several days, at the age of 67 years. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in St. John’s American Lutheran church in the town of Frankfort, Rev. Henry Krikau officiating. Internment was made in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Hoernke was born on November 18, 1890, in the town of Frankfort and lived there his entire life. He and Miss Louise Punke were married in St. John’s church in 1916. The couple farmed in the town of Frankfort until he suffered a stroke last January.
Survivors are the widow; a son, Harold Hoernke of the town of Frankfort; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Werner of the town of Wien, Mrs. Delbert Denzine of the town of Johnson and Mrs. Raymond Hackel of the town of Holton; three sisters, Mrs. Otto Seeger of Wausau, Mrs. Otto Leffel of the town of Hull and Mrs. Fred Klumb of Marquette, Mich.; four brothers, Herman and Ernest Hoernke of the town of Frankfort and Alvin and Otto Hoernke of Cannon Falls, Minn., and 14 grand children.
