CALEDONIA by Miss Mae Murphy.

The Rev. and Mrs. H. W. Hynes and daughter Carol left Monday for a three week vacation near Brainerd.

Marriage licenses were issued Monday to D. V. Yolton and Beverly Wagner of La Crescent and Clifford Hoftilzer and Bernice Bolden of Spencer, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Murphy of La Crosse and Mr. and Mrs. Patrick McDonald of Bismarck [sic], N. D., were Sunday visitors at the P). C. Murphy home.

Mr. and Mrs. Leander Corpstein and children and Mrs. Michael Corpstein spent the weekend at Minnapolis with relatives.

County Agent and Mrs. Francis Brady returned Sunday from a two-week tour of the South and points in Mexico.

Lloyd Duxbury, Jr., John and James Frisch, Robert Sheehan and Melvin Wismerslage left Sunday for Lake Isasca to spend several days.

Captain and Mrs. Johnson left Monday for Deerwood, Minn., for a week camping and fishing.

Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Duffy of La Crosse and Mrs. Joseph Horlhan of Hokah spent the weekend at the k. K. HOward home.

Teresa Thelsen of La Crosse, spent las week with her grandfather, K. K. Howard, and with her anunt, Mrs. Mary Theisen.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. George Fonken, a daughter at the Caledonia hospital Sunday. Mrs. Fonken is the former Norma Potter.

Ott Gevvert underwent a tonsillectomy at the local hospital Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. James Baxter, Mr. and Mrs. Walton Mallick and children and Mrs. James Ronayne of Waukon, spent Sunday at the M. E. Donovan home.
