Martin, Naomi May (Marriage – 9 Jan. 1935)

The parsonage of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church, Spencer, was the scene of a quiet wedding Wednesday evening, Jan. 9 at 7 o'clock when Miss Naomi May Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert W. Martin became the bride of Clarence E. Borth, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Borth, all of Spencer.

Miss Helen Borth, sister of the groom, and Delbert Hutchins were the only attendants.

The bride chose a floor-length gown of medium blue silk flat crepe with matching accessories for her wedding. Miss Borth wore a long dress of ashes of roses flat crepe.

The wedding was celebrated quietly owing to the illness of the groom's mother. After the ceremony the wedding party went to the home of the groom's parents where refreshments were served to immediate relatives.

The young couple will make their home immediately on the Gardner farm, the management of which the groom took over Jan. 1 from his father, George Borth.

Mrs. Borth is a graduate of Spencer high school, the class of 1932. Mr. Borth came to Spencer to live about five years ago.

*** Note: The year of marriage is from the church records of Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, Marathon County, Wisconsin.
