Venzke, Pearl Edna (Marriage - 22 Sept. 1945)

On Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, Miss Pearl Edna Venzke became the bride of Milton Joseph Tischendorf at Bethlehem Lutheran church at Milan. The Rev. E. E. Malueg read the service.

The bride, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Venzke, town of Johnson, wore a gown of white satin with net overskirt, which ended in a long train. Her fingertip veil was held by a head dress of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of red roses and carnations.

Her sister, Miss Lois Venzke, was maid of honor. Her frock was of blue net over taffeta. Mrs. Ray Denzine, sister of the bride, town of Holton, and Mrs. William Frederickson, Milwaukee, sister of the groom, were gowned alike in white net over taffeta. They all carried bouquets of mixed asters.

James Reynolds, Dorchester, was best man and Mr. Denzine and Mr. Frederickson were ushers.

Following the ceremony, a reception at the home of the bride’s parents and the wedding dinner were attended by about 200 relatives from Milwaukee, Athens and Dorchester. In the evening a wedding dance was held at Trianon Gardens.

The bride was employed as bookkeeper in the Laabs Cheese Co. plant at Milan for two years prior to her marriage. The groom is a truck driver at Milwaukee, where Mr. and Mrs. Tischendorf will make their home.
