Matowitz, Stacy (22 Apr. 1908 - 9 Nov. 1981)

Services for Mrs. Stacy Matowitz, 73, 1207 Berlin St., Waupaca, formerly of Marshfield, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Rembs/Kundinger Chapel. Mrs. Matowitz died at 1:50 p.m. Monday at her home.

The Rev. George C. Passehl, associate pastor of St. John’s Catholic Church, will officiate, with burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Relatives will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today and until service time Thursday at the funeral home, where at St. John’s parish vigil service will be at 8 tonight.

The former Stacy Olkowski was born April 22, 1908 in Three Lakes to Mr. and Mrs. John Olkowski. She attended the Three Lakes grade and high schools and lived at Three Lakes until her marriage to Joseph J. Matowitz on July ??? *** Note: The right margin was cut off, so words are cut off *** Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

The couple live in Marshfield for ? years and then in Menasha for ??? Mr. Matowitz, who worked as an electrician in the Marshfield/Neenah/Menasha area, died in 1975. Following his death, Mrs. Matowitz had resided in Wausau.

She was a former member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Marshfield and St. John’s Catholic Church in Menasha.

Survivors include a son, ? Matowitz, Neenah; a daughter, Mrs. George (Audrey) Smolinski, ?; a sisters, Mrs. Annette ?; Three Lakes; six grandchildren and ? great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by five brothers and her parents.
