Schwantes, Walborg (27 Feb. 1870 - 11 June 1936)

Spencer - Funeral services will be conducted at the Fred Schwantes home at 1:30 p.m. and at the Evangelical Lutheran church at 2 p.m. on Monday for Mrs. Fred Schwantes, 66, who died at her home here Thursday night.

The immediate cause of Mrs. Schwantes’ death was pneumonia, brought on by infection which resulted when she cut her hand on a can a number of weeks ago.

The Rev. A. C. Stapel will officiate at the rites Monday and burial will take place in the North cemetery.

Walborg Olson was born in Norway on Feb. 27, 1870, and came to this country when she was 20. She was married in 1904 to Fred Schwantes, who survives her.

Other surviving relatives are an adopted daughter, Mrs. Albert Toltzman, Spencer; four grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Louis Olson, Manila, Iowa; Mrs. Anna Dorslinger, Pontiac, Ill.; Mrs. William Hanson, Sioux Falls, S.D., and a brother and a sister who still live in Norway.
