Treu, Estelle (16 Mar. 1914 - 9 May 2008)

Estelle Treu, 94, of Wausau, died Friday, May 9, 2008, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.

Estelle was born March 16, 1914, in the town of Maine to the late Walter and Alvina (Neuman) Ohrmundt. She married Leonard Treu on June 21, 1941, in the town of Maine. Leonard preceded her in death Oct. 18, 2005. Estelle was a member of the Grace Circle at church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, flowers, fishing, baking, spending time at their cabin in Price County, and volunteering for the Friendly Neighbors.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Treu of Wausau and Neal (Jamie) Treu of Mosinee; one daughter, Faye (Kenneth) Williams of Brighton, Mich.; four grandchildren, Traci (Dan) McCoubrey, Joel (Amy) Holster, Paul (Dyanna) Holster and Greg Holster; and four great-grandchildren, Ashley Holster, Alyssa Holster, Hannah Holster and Ashley McCoubrey. Estelle was preceded in death by one sister, Gertrude Hoene; and one brother, Elmer Ohrmundt.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2008, at the First English Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Rev. Jay Kamrath will officiate. Burial will be in Stettin Christian Cemetery, town of Stettin. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the church.
