Schultz, Lawrence R. (31 Mar 1916 - 13 Sep 2005)

Lawrence R. Schultz 89, Edgar, died Tuesday, September 13, 2005 under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born March 31, 1916 in Wausau, son of the late Otto and Elisa (Isberner) Schultz. On December 27, 1941, he married Ruth Dallman at St. John Lutheran Church, Hwy N, Edgar. She survives.

Lawrence and his wife farmed in the town of Wien until 1992. During this time Lawrence was a part time insurance salesman for State Farm Insurance. Besides fishing, playing cards and going for rides, he enjoyed playing dart ball for St. John Lutheran Church Dart Ball League. Special to Lawrence was the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Ruth, Edgar, survivors includes his children, Lloyd (Mary) Schultz, Edgar, Beverly (David) Miller, Wausau and Patsy (John) Fischer, Fenwood; eight grandchildren, Sarah (Steve) Marcis, Robert (Patty Jo) Schultz, Randall (Genny) Schultz, Russell (Laurie) Schultz, Angela (James) Lenselink, Bradley (Peggy) Miller, Amanda (Bill) Sonnentag and Greg Fischer; 14 great grandchildren; special nephew, Orville Yessa; one sister, Dorothy Meseberg, Edgar.

Besides his parents & stepmother Martha (Dalhman) Schultz, he was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Kane.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2005 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Edgar. Rev. Clarence Gall will officiate. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and again from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of services at the church.

There will be a bible vigil at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Edgar funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund, Hwy N, Edgar or St. Stephen Lutheran Church Building Fund.

The family of Lawrence would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of the Harbor House, Wausau and Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for the loving care given to him.

Pallbearers are Robert Schultz, Randall Schultz, Russell Schultz, Bradley Miller, Greg Fischer and Orville Yessa.
