St. Bernard's-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Thorp, was the setting for the June 18 wedding of Miss Barbara Ann Karpinski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Karpinski, Route 1, Thorp. and Edmund Alexander Abramowicz Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Abramowicz Sr., Route 1 Lublin.

The Rev. John W. Puerner officiated at the ceremony.

Miss Audrey Karpinski, Thorp, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sue Abramowicz of Lublin, Judy Abramowicz of Thorp and Lori Czarnecki, Eau Claire. John Kulla, St. Louis, was best man. Groomsmen were Richard Karpinski of Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota, Jeff Kiemc of Chicago and Paul Abramowicz, Eau Claire. Michelle Halenka, Thorp, flower girl and Gary Oemig, Stanley, Ring bearer. Ushering were Thomas Karpinski, Thorp, and Mark Abramowicz, Lublin.

The wedding reception and dance were at Quonest Hall, Thorp. The newlyweds are living on Route 2, Thorp.
