Knecht, Selma A. (1 February 1890-24 June 1983)

UNITY-- Mrs. Edwards (Selma A.) Knecht, 93, formerly of Route 1, Unity, died Friday at the Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford.

Services were today at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Green Grove. The Rev. Roland Rakow officiated and burial was in the church cemetery Grandson were pallbearers. The former Selma A. Tresemer was born February 1, 1890 in LaMoille, Minnesota, to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Tresemer. She was married to Edward Knecht November 28, 1917 in Minnesota. They moved to Wisconsin in 1924 and farmed at Route 1, Unity, until retiring in 1947. They then moved to Riplinger for several years and in 1963 moved back to Route 1, Unity, where she lived until entering the nursing home in 1980.

A member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mrs. Knecht is survived by a son, Rolland of Route 1, Unity; a daughter, Mr. Delos (Ardine) Alexander of Unity; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one brother, John Tresemer of Altura, Minnesota.

She was predeceased by her husband; five sisters and two brothers.

The Rux Funeral Home in Colby handled arrangements.
