Linda LuAnn Fredrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel (Shirley) Fredrick of
Route 1, Owen, Wisconsin, is among 931 students who graduates at UW-Eau Claire’s
61st Commencement exercises on Saturday, May 21, 1977.
Linda will graduate “Summa Cum Laude” from the English Department in Secondary
Education. She has been on the Dean’s list for all her four years at Eau Claire,
earned the Barnhart Scholarship, and is in “Who’s Who Among American College and
University Students.
During her four years at UW-Eau Claire, Linda hs been a member of Phi Kappa Phi,
the Student Wisconsin Education Association, the French Club, University Human
Relations, Core Committee and Student Representative to the Department of
Secondary Education.
Linda’s future plans will be to teach in the fall.
Because of the large number of graduates this year, the Commencement will be
divided into two ceremonies. Graduates in the Schools of Arts and Sciences, and
of Business will receive their degrees at 9:30 a.m. in the University Arena. The
Schools of Education and Nursing, as well as Graduate Studies, will hold their
Commencement ceremony at 2 p.m., also in the arena.
Linda will be among 69 graduates who will receive Bachelor of Arts degree in the
School of Education in the afternoon Commencement ceremony.
