Budde, Johanna (1 February 1894-16 June 1983)

Johanna M. Budde, 89, of 1107 W. Sixth St., died Thursday at her home.

Services will be Tuesday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert W. Nelson will officiate. Mrs. Frank Wesley will be organist and Carol Wesley will be the soloist. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Colby, Clark County.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Martin D. Jacobs, Elmer J. Martin, John F. McNamara, Frank Sacho, Theodore A. Schultz and James Coleman.

Visitation will be at the Rembs/Kundinger Chapel.

She was born February 1, 1894 in Beaver Dam to Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Emma Dries) Budde. In 1906, as a child, she moved to Colby, where she received her education at St. Mary's Parochial School. She graduated from St, Agnes School of Nursing, Fond du Lac, and was employed there for a time at St. Agnes Hospital. She returned to Colby and did private nursing in the Colby area. She then became a housekeeper for the late Rev. James Geyer. In 1972, after his death, she moved to Marshfield, and has resided here since. She never married.

She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

Survivors include one brother, Frank Budde of Stratford; and two sisters, Mrs. Elenora Beyerl and Mrs. Tillie Butler, both of Colby.

She was predeceased by her parents and one sister.
