Gloff, Clara E. (6 February 1903 – 22 May 1988)

Clara Gloff, 85, of Memorial Home died Sunday afternoon, May 22. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening, May 25, from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday morning until 1:30 p.m. services at Gesche Funeral home. Rev. Douglas Bjerke will officiate. Douglas and Sharon Bjerke will sing, and Sharon Bjerke will be accompanist. (Burial was in Neillsville City Cemetery)

The former Clara Ramm was born Feb.6, in Hilltop, WV, to Emil and Mary Ramm. After her education she worked at home until her marriage to Karl A. Gloff on August 3, 1921, in Cincinnati, OH. They lived in many places in Michigan and Wisconsin until moving to Neillsville in 1965, where she lived the rest of her life. Her husband passed away June 28, 1967. Since March 1988, she has been a resident of Memorial Home due to failing health. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Neillsville.

Four children survive, Mrs. Frank (Vivian) Mollan, of Milwaukee, Mrs. Tom (Agnes) Perras of Palmyra, Mrs. Arland (Rachel) Williams of Newalla, OK, and Cyrus P. Gloff, Neillsville; two brothers, John Ramm of Oak Hill, WV, and Aaron Ramm of Marble Falls, TX; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by her husband; parents; two sons, Mark and Paul; several brothers and sisters.
