Hoesers, Joseph & Frieda (50th Anniversary-14 June 1933)

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Hoeser of Route 2, Loyal, observed their golden wedding at an Anniversary Mass June 12 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Loyal.

Their son, the Rev. Jerome G. Hoeser, Wausau, officiated assisted by the Rev. Anthony W. Fischer, Marshfield; the Rev. Thomas Abraham, Hatley; and the Rev. James J. Logan, Loyal. Children and grandchildren participated. Music was provided by Jill Jacobson, vocalist/guitarist, and Patricia Kelty, organist.

The reception was served at the American Legion Hall.

Hoeser and the former Frieda Petzel were married June 14, 1933 in St. Anthony's Church. The son of Mr. and Mrs. George (Barbara) Hoeser was born and raised in Heintown and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John (Fanny) Petzel in Greenwood.

The Hoesers have owned and operated his family's farm since their marriage. They are members of St. Anthony's Church and Mrs. Hoeser, a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women, is active in Starlight Homemakers Club.

Their children are Clyde of Janesville, Jerome of Wausau, Allan of West Bend, Dennis of Madison, Sandra of Fort Worth, Texas; Thomas of Spokane, Washington and Therese of Wisconsin Rapids. There are nine grandchildren.

Attendants at the 1933 nuptials were Tony Walter Sr. of Loyal and Margaret Goetz Fenner, South St. Paul, Minnesota.
