Hedler, Lauri Ann (5 Mar 1977)

A wedding trip to Florida followed the March 5, 1977 marriage of Lauri Ann Hedler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hedler, Route 2, Colby, and Frank William Gay Jr., son of Frank Gay Sr., Route 1, Withee. Upon return, the newlyweds will reside on Route 1, Withee.

The 5 p.m. nuptial rite was performed by the Rev. Francis P. Rushman, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby. Organ music was furnished by Michael Tennis, Colby.

As the bride was escorted to the altar area by her father, she was seen wearing an A-line empire style knit, and Venice lace gown featuring a full chapel length train. Completing her ensemble were a fingertip veil attached to a Venice lace Camelot headpiece and a bouquet of yellow roses.

Preceding her down the aisle were her aides, Miss Dawn Wilde, Abbotsford, maid of honor, and Miss Donna Hedler, Colby, and Miss Sally Hedler, Thorp, bridesmaids. They donned floor length A-line gowns of rust knit, with empire styled bodices and matching hooded full length coats.

Attending the groom were Hank Macs, Dorchester, best man, and Mike Gay Phoenix, Arizona, and Harold Walker Jr., Osseo, groomsmen. Ushering were Peter Mercier and Tom Firnstahl, both of Colby.

The New Mrs. Gay graduated from Colby High School in 1976. Her husband attended Owen-Withee High School and is a dairy and certified seed farmer.
