Stillman, George/Margaret (50th, 28 June 1983)

Mr. and Mrs. George E. (Margaret) Stillman of Route 1, Unity, will celebrate their 50th Wedding anniversary with an open house July 2.

They were married June 28, 1933 at North Spencer Lutheran Church.

The former Margaret Neuman was born April 27, 1909 in Wausau, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Neuman. She received her education in Wausau and Spencer schools.She did housework prior to her marriage.

Stillman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stillman, was born May 17, 1911 in Fond du Lac. He and his family moved to Vesper when he was 6 years old. He farmed in the Vesper area until marriage.

After marriage, they moved to Loyal and then Sturgeon Bay, where still farmed and worked in cherry orchards. They then moved to Milwaukee where he worked for Allis Chalmers Co. for five years and cared for several rooming houses.

They then moved to Unity where Stillman was a cheesemaker.
