Mayer, Gina (29 December 1967 – 9 April 1988)

Gina M. Mayer, 20, 1105 Bruley St.., died Saturday, April 9, a victim of an automobile accident which occurred in the Town of Levis, April 8.

Gina was born in Neillsville on December 29, 1967, the daughter of LaVern R. and Margaret R. (Reineck) Mayer. A graduate of Neillsville High School in 1986, she worked a various jobs in the area, most recently employed at the Moonlite Inn. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish.

Surviving are her mother, father and two brothers, Rick and Rodney, all of Neillsville; maternal grandmother Rosemary Reineck, also of Neillsville; and paternal grandmother Rosella Mayer of Fairchild. She was preceded by her two grandfathers.

Fr. Joseph Henseler officiated during rites on Tuesday, April 12, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville. Virginia Gassen accompanied St. Mary’s Choir. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Shiell, Stan Smith, Wade Pettit, Greg Opelt, Randy Reineck and David Mayer. Gesche Funeral Home handled arrangements.
