Boe, Amos (28 March 1901 – 16 April 1988)

Amos Boe, 87, died Saturday, April 16, at his Greenwood home. He was born March 28, 1901, to Henry and Randina (Erickson) Boe, and received his education at Greenwood Schools and also attended the University of Wisconsin. On August 5, 1934, he married Agnes Krze in Greenwood. She survives.

Amos Boe worked as a grade school teacher for 12 and a half years, then farmed in the Town of Mead and worked for Plautz Brothers. Since 1984, he had been retired and living on the home farm.

Surviving besides his wife are four sons, James of Greenwood, Roger of Hyde Park, NY, Thomas of Cedar Falls, IA, and David of Oceano, CA; three daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Evelyn) Haven of Flagstaff, AZ, Mrs. Bernard (Jean) Kuehl of Grants Pass, OR, and Mrs. Ray (Janice) Bennett of Seattle, WA; two sisters, Mrs. Faith Thompson of Thorp, and Mrs. Theo Boe of CA; 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded by his parents and a son, Cedric; six brothers and one sister.

Services were held Tuesday, April 19, at the Rinka Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. Tom Garrison of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenwood, officiated. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Patrick Boe, Tom Boe, Frederick Boe, Robert Gilbertson, Art Kolstad and Louis Walde, Sr.
