Christensen, Kent A. (25 Aug. 1963 - 1 Sept. 1999)

Kent A. Christensen, 36, of 25 W. Wisconsin St., Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 1, 1999, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls, as a result of a work related accident.

He was born Aug. 25, 1963, in Chippewa Falls to Dorothy (Woll) and Jack Christensen. He attended Korger-Chestnut Elementary School, and Chippewa Falls Middle and High Schools. He had been employed for his parents at J. Christensen Florist & Greenhouse in Chippewa Falls until becoming co-owner with his brother, Brian, in February 1997.

Survivors include his parents, Dorothy and Jack Christensen of Chippewa Falls; his special friend, Misty Schemenauer and her son, Andrew Beaudette of Chippewa Falls; one sister, Bonnie Christensen of Chippewa Falls; three brothers, Brian (Mickey) Christensen of Jim Falls, Bradley Christensen of Chippewa Falls, and Clay Christensen of Chippewa Falls; his paternal grandfather, Elmer Christensen of Chippewa Falls; his maternal grandmother, Rosine Woll of Chippewa Falls; nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Christensen in 1958; his brother, Dana Christensen in 1996; his paternal grandmother, Marion Christensen; and his maternal grandfather, Carvel Woll.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls, with the Rev. Roger Skatrud of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral chapel.

Kent loved to hunt. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Memorial contributions in Kent's memory may be directed to any wildlife preservation projects, specifically Duck's Unlimited.
